BIM Integration Guide for Architects

1

Access the H+H BIM Library

Go to the H+H BIM Library on the NBS Specification website.

Search for the required H+H product or browse by category (e.g., Celcon Standard Grade, High Strength, Vertical Wall Panels).

Select the BIM object you want to use and download the Revit (.RFA) or Archicad (.GSM) file.

2

Load the BIM Object into Revit

Open your Revit project.

From the Insert tab, choose 'Load Family'.

Navigate to the downloaded BIM object file and select it.

The H+H product will now be available in your project’s Families library.

3

Use Embedded NBS Specification Links

Each H+H BIM object contains embedded NBS links.

Click on the product within Revit and open its Properties.

Select the NBS link to open the full specification in your browser.

You can then copy, reference, or integrate the NBS spec text directly into your project documentation.

4

Ensure Compliance and Coordination

Verify the BIM object’s data against project-specific requirements (e.g., U-values, compressive strength, sustainability data).

Share the BIM object and NBS specification with all project stakeholders to ensure alignment.

Update the BIM object if newer versions are released by H+H on NBS.

5

Leverage BIM for Sustainability Reporting

H+H BIM objects contain environmental credentials, including links to Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs).

Use these in Whole Life Carbon Assessments and for meeting requirements of standards such as BREEAM, Passivhaus, and the Future Homes Standard.
